10 Days

Ten days from tomorrow, my husband and I will begin our trip back to Vienna, Austria. Our journey these last 3 months has been long, hard fought, exhausting, but overwhelmingly blessed. One day we’ll write about it – amusing and heartbreaking and confusing details included – but it won’t be today. On behalf of my blog and myself, I’d like to say thanks for sticking with me during this lengthy holiday. For me, not writing is like telling a toddler to sit still – impossible. But I hope to more than make up for lost time over the course of the upcoming months.

If you’re just reading my blog for the first time and you’re thinking “What on earth…”, don’t be alarmed. Again, one day I’ll fill you in, but until then, just use your imagination. Don’t think along the lines of tragedy but more along the lines of dramatic comedy. For example, if our journey was made into a movie, it would be something like:  “How Many Roads Must a Kooi Walk Down” – “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and find yourself very confused throughout the entirety of the story! Seriously you’ll be confused the whole time.” – Roger Ebert

(Feel better?)

Thank you for all of your prayers and love and encouragement. We’re feeling great and totally not counting down how many sleeps we have until we board a plane (10 sleeps). We love, love, love you guys. See you in Vienna.
